Form 10-Q
10-QA form the SEC requires publicly-traded companies and some private companies to file every quarter. It includes statements on equity and unaudited financial statements. While similar to a shareholder report, a 10-Q form often contains more information, such as executive compensation and organizational structure. All publicly-traded companies and any privately traded companies with more than 500 shareholders and $10 million in assets are required to file a 10-Q. Companies only file three 10-Q forms each year, as the final quarter's numbers are included in the 10-K. See also: Transparency. |
