Myocarde, or Comparison of Angioplasty and Prehospital Thrombolysis in Acute Myocardial Infarction (Comparaison de l’Angioplastie Primaire et de la Thrombolyse pre-hospitalière à la phase aiguë de l’Infarctus du Myocarde). An underpowered clinical trial which compared the efficacy of pre-hospital thrombolysis with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for acute ST elevation MI.Primary endpoints
Adverse event composite—death, nonfatal reinfarction, stroke.
Conclusion
No differences between prehospital thrombolysis and primary PCI; event rate was 8.2% for prehospital thrombolysis and 6.2% for primary angioplasty; mortality was 3.8% in the prehospital thrombolysis and 4.8% for primary angioplasty; slow enrollment resulted in early termination
