Location:On Pacific Coast Highway, in Huntington Beach between Golden West Street and Warner Avenue.

Activities:Camping, fishing, swimming, surfing, bicycling, skating, wildlife viewing, birdwatching.
Special Features:The beach extends for 3 miles from Seal Beach to the Huntington Beach city pier. Popular for surf fishing for perch, corbina, croaker, cabezon, and sand shark, the beach is also popular in the summer for bare-handed fishing for California grunion, a species of fish that spawns only on sandy southern California beaches. Bolsa Chica State Beach is connected to Huntington State Beach (see separate entry) by a 7-mile bike trail.
