Activities:Boating (25 HP limit), fishing, hunting, trapping.
Special Features:Site operates under a longterm lease with Ameren Energy Generatingcompany. Twenty-two species of fish are found in Coffeen Lake,including largemouth and striped bass,white crappie, and channel catfish. Power plant operation noticeablyaffects fishing activity and success, but fish growth appears to befaster than in many other lakes.
