Fighter-Bomber Aviation
Fighter-Bomber Aviation
an arm of frontline aviation, its shock force, designed to destroy important small and mobile targets of the enemy where the use of rocket weapons is inexpedient and the mobility of the targets makes it difficult for the fire weapons of ground forces to destroy them.
Fighter-bomber aviation is also used to fight airplanes and unmanned means of enemy attack, destroying them in air fighting and on airfields, and in carrying out air reconnaissance. Fighter-bomber aviation employs multipurpose fighter-bombers adapted for the use of all modern aerial fire attack weapons, such as cannon, aerial bombs, and air-to-ground guided and unguided missiles.
