Astronomicheskii Kalendar

a reference publication of the All-Unioh Astronomical and Geodetical Society. It is published in Moscow, intended primarily for amateur astronomers. Founded in 1895 by the Nizhny Novgorod Group of Amateur Physicists and Astronomers, it was originally (until 1934) called Russkii astronomicheskii kalendar’. The Astronomicheskii kalendar’ consists of two parts—one permanent, the other changing. The changing part of the Astronomicheskii kalendar’ is the annual journal, which includes the ephemerides of the sun, the moon, and the planets and other information necessary for the organization and processing of astronomical observations for the current year. In a supplement, articles are published that deal with basic achievements in astronomy. The permanent part of the Astronomicheskii kalendar’ (published at irregular intervals; last edition, 1962) consists of basic information on astronomy, instructions for observing various astronomical phenomena, necessary tables, and other materials.
