Boat-Ax Culture

one of the Neolithic Battle-ax cultures; it existed on the territory of Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Estonia from the second half of the third millennium B.C. to the middle of the second millennium B.C. The Boat-ax culture is known almost entirely from burials. The dead were buried in a flexed position along with clay vessels decorated with cord and comb impressions, polished flint axes used for work, stone shaft-hole battle axes (shaped like boats), bows, arrows with flint tips, and other flint tools.
