Dalberg, Emmerich Joseph
(Emeric Joseph, duc de Dalberg) (ĕmərēk` zhōzĕf` dälbârk`), 1773–1833, French diplomat of German origin; nephew of Karl Theodor von Dalberg. The foreign minister of Baden, he entered (1810) the service of French Emperor Napoleon I, who made him a duke and a councillor of state.
