Cantlie line

(kant'lē), an extrapolated line from the posthepatic inferior vena cava across the diaphragmatic surface of the liver to the site where the fundus of the gallbladder typically contacts the inferior margin of the liver; approximates the anterior aspect of the plane of the middle hepatic vein and demarcates anteriorly the right and left (parts of the) liver(s).
