autophony (ɔːˈtɒfənɪ) n, pl -niesa diagnosis made by listening to vibration of one's own voice on the patient's chestautophonya form of auscultation in which the practitioner learns the condition of the patient’s chest from the way in which his own voice is modified as he speaks against the chest.
