BNC2 BNC2 A gene on chromosome 9p22.2 that encodes basonuclin 2, a zinc finger protein present in the basal cell layer of the epidermis and hair follicles, which is thought to be a keratinocyte-specific transcription factor and play a role in germ cell (spermatozoa and oocyte) differentiation. It is highly expressed in the testes, uterus and small intestine. |
