Special Features:The salt springs at Blue Licks have attracted prehistoric animals,American Indians, pioneers (including Daniel Boone), and 19th-centurysoutherners, who came for the rejuvenating effects of the therapeutic,bubbling waters. However, Blue Licks is more widely known as the siteof the last Revolutionary War battle in Kentucky, where Kentuckianssuffered great losses at the hands of British and Indian forces.
