Child Protection Register

A confidential list maintained within the social services department of each local authority (district) in the UK, of the names of children who are believed to be at risk of significant harm, including physical, emotional, or sexual abuse or neglect. If a registered child moves out of one area, information is passed on to the “receiving” local authority.
