The very first Web server on the World Wide Web was published and running on a NeXT computer at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in 1989. As of 2016, it is still online, and you can browse the site by visiting http://info.cern.ch. The first command line browser was launched in late 1991, and it can also be viewed by visiting http://line-mode.cern.ch/www.hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html. See World Wide Web.
