Country: United States of AmericaState: Californialast year I was arrested for DUI. I went to trial and was found not guilty. The DMV still charged me a fee to reissue my license and required a sr-22. I showed them the court documents containing the verdict in my case, but they said that did not matter to them. I recently switched insurance companies and found that my driving record contains a DUI. Is that supposed to be on there? If not, what can I do to have it removed? Also, am I deserving of recompense for the DMV fees that I have paid as well as the higher insurance rates? the reason I switched insurance companies is because my renewal policy fees were too expensive. As a result of not renewing, my license was suspended again. I drove for a while without a license. Is there a chance of me getting compensation for anguish?
