Location:Northeastern and north-central Wisconsin. Accessible by US 2, 8, 45, and 63; WI 13, 32, 52, 55, 139, 64, and 70. Nearby cities/towns include Ashland, Eagle River, Hayward, Medford, Rhinelander, and Park Falls.
Facilities:41 campgrounds, 7 group camps, 19 cabins, picnic areas, trails (300+ miles), swimming beaches, boat ramps, scenic drives.

Special Features:Numerous large and small lakes, a wildlife area, and the North Country and Ice Age national scenic trails. Known as the Cradle of Rivers: headwaters of the Wolf, Pine, Popple, Oconto, Peshtigo, Deerskin, and Wisconsin rivers originate from within forest boundaries.
