Location:26 miles east of Fairbanks on Chena Hot Springs Road.
Facilities:73 campsites, 7 cabins, 4 backcountry shelters, picnic sites, picnicshelters, toilets (é), drinking water, trails, shooting range.
Activities:Camping, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, horsebackriding, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, ATV riding, mountainbiking, shoeshowing, snowmobiling, rock climbing, hunting, trapping,wildlife observation.
Special Features:Park encompasses 397 square miles of forests, rivers, and alpinetundra, and offers a wide range of recreational activities year round.The park follows the class II Chena River, with numerous entry and exitpoints for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Four small ponds have alsobeen stocked, and fish caught in those can be kept (river fishing iscatch and release only). Wildlife here are abundant; black and grizzlybears inhabit the area but are seldom seen.
