coronary reactivity testing

coronary reactivity testing

The measurement of blood flow inside a coronary artery after the use of IV drugs such as nitroglycerin, adenosine, or acetylcholine. The size of the arteries after the administration of these drugs and the changes in blood flow through them signal the presence of abnormal coronary artery reactivity to pharmacological stress. These findings can be used to confirm the diagnosis of microvascular coronary disease.
