[TA] a long, curved convolution of the medial surface of the cortical hemisphere, arched over the corpus callosum from which it is separated by the deep sulcus of corpus callosum; together with the parahippocampal gyrus, with which it is continuous behind the corpus callosum, it forms the fornicate gyrus.
