Black Data Processing Associates
Black Data Processing Associates (body)(BDPA) A non-profit professional association, foundedin 1975 to promote positive influence in the information technology (IT) industry and how it affects AfricanAmericans. The BDPA facilitates African American professionalparticipation in local and national activities keeping up withdeveloping IT trends.
BDPA offers a forum for exchanging information and ideas aboutthe computer industry. It provides numerous networkingopportunities through monthly program meetings, seminars, andworkshops and the annual national conference. Membership isopen to anyone interested in IT.
The Foundation provides scholarships to students who competein an annual Visual Basic competition.
