Location:36 miles southwest of Paducah on KY 58 and KY 123/80.
Facilities:38 campsites with utility hookups, restrooms, showers, laundryfacilities, 4 picnic shelters, playground, hiking trails (2.5 miles),activity center (with meeting rooms, dance floor, stage, banquetfacilities, and kitchen), miniature golf course, historic sites, museum, snack bar,gift shop.
Activities:Camping, hiking, interpretive displays.
Special Features:Columbus-Belmont was the site of a major Civil War battle, andvisitors to the park can see the massive chain and anchor the Southused to block the passage of Union gunboats on the Mississippi River,as well as the earthen trenches dug to protect the Confederate troops.Ulysses S. Grant was the Union General who forced the evacuation of theConfederates in 1862.
