Location:In southern Osage County, on the north shore of Melvern Lake.
Facilities:190 utility campsites, primitive campsites, group camping area,equestrian camping area, rental cabin (é), 4 shower houses, swimmingbeach, horseshoe pits, playgrounds, volleyball courts, picnic shelters,18 boat ramp lanes, equestrian trail (20 miles) in undeveloped area of the park.

Special Features:Formerly known as Melvern State Park, the park was renamed in 1990 tohonor Dwight David Eisenhower, the only US President from Kansas. Thepark is located on the eastern fringe of the Flint Hills and features1,000 acres of tallgrass prairie, 400 acres of woodland, and a fullrange of recreational facilities.

Eisenhower State Park
Location:5 miles northwest of Denison, near the Oklahoma border.
Facilities:Campsites with full hookups, campsites with water and electricity hookups, tent camping, group camp, showers, restrooms, picnic area, screened shelters, day-use group facility, hiking trails, bike trail, ATV area, marina, boat ramp, docks, fishing pier, fish cleaning facility, amphitheater, park store, playgrounds, recreation hall.

Special Features:Park is named for the 34th President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower, who was born nearby (see separate entry on Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site). The park is situated on the shores of Lake Texoma, and a privately operated, full-service marina is located in the park.
