Abnormally high corneal sensitivity (threshold less than 15 mg/0.013 mm2 near the limbus in the adult eye) as distinguished from hypoaesthesia (beyond 70 mg/0.013 mm2 near the limbus in the adult eye) which is abnormally low corneal sensitivity.
