释义 | Douglas, Lloyd C.Douglas, Lloyd C. (Cassel)(1877–1951) clergyman, writer; born in Columbia City, Ind. He was a Congregational minister and author of religious essays who turned to popular fiction in the 1920s. He wrote full-time after the early 1930s, living first in Los Angeles, then Las Vegas. His three major inspirational novels, Magnificent Obsession (1929), The Robe (1942), and The Big Fisherman (1948), sold millions of copies and were made into successful movies. |
