[¦bär·ē ¦säl ‚präs·əs] (chemical engineering) Removal of waxes from liquid hydrocarbons by extraction of the wax with a mixed ethylene dichloride-benzene solvent, followed by separation from the hydrocarbon in a centrifuge.
