Bypass Angioplasty Revascularization Investigation-7 Year Results. A study comparing the 7-year survival in patients who were randomly assigned to percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTCA) vs coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG).
 
Conclusion
CABG offered a survival benefit at 7 years to diabetics compared to PCTA. There was no difference in survival rates of non-diabetics with CABG vs PTCA.
