| 释义 |
Anticreeper anticreeper[′an·tē‚krēp·ər] (civil engineering) A device attached to a railroad rail to prevent it from moving in the direction of its length. Anticreeper a clamp that is attached to the flange of a railroad rail and rests on a tie; it is part of the track superstructure when spikes are used for fastening the rail and tie. Anti-creepers inhibit the lateral displacement of the rails caused by the action of the wheels of the rolling stock. They are not used with reinforced-concrete ties. |
