Zolotoe

a city (since 1938) in Voroshilovgrad Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, on the Kamyshevakha River (Severskii Donets basin), 4 km from the Mar’evka railroad station (on the Debal’tsevo-Kupiansk line). Population, 26,000 (1970). Coal is mined near Zolotoe, which also has a building-materials factory and an ore-concentration plant.
