Zimovniki

an urban-type settlement, the administrative center of Zimovniki Raion, Rostov Oblast, RSFSR. Zimovniki is located 295 km east of Rostov-on-Don, on the Malaia Kuberle River (Don River basin). It is a railroad staton on the Volgograd-Tikhoretskaia line. Population, 15,000 (1970). There is a poultry combine, creamery, asphalt-mastic plant, and grain elevator.
