Zigalga

Zigal’ga

 

a mountain range in the Southern Urals, Cheliabinsk Oblast, and Bashkir ASSR, in the luriuzan’ basin. It is 40 km long and rises to a height of 1,426 m (Mount Bol’shoi Sholom). The mountains are composed of crystal-line rocks of the Proterozoic and Lower Paleozoic ages. Its slopes are covered with taiga forests to an altitude of 1,000–1,100 m, and above that are bald peaks, rock streams, and majestic rocky outliers.
