Population, 25,000 (1970). Zhlobin is the site of railway transport enterprises, a construction materials combine, a factory for major repairs of construction and road-building machinery, a hemp plant, a mixed-feed plant, a creamery, a furniture factory, a clothing factory, and a fac-tory producing inlaid art works. Zhlobin was first mentioned in historical documents in 1492.
