Zhizn’ Iskusstva

 

(Life of Art). (1) A Soviet newspaper devoted to literature, art, and theater published in Petrograd between 1918 and 1922. Until 1921 it was published daily, and later it appeared two times a week. Its supplement contained the Petrograd theater programs.

(2) A Soviet art, literature, and theater journal established in 1923, based on the newspaper of the same name and published in Leningrad until 1929. Its supplement contained the Leningrad theater programs. In 1930 it merged with the journal Rabochii i teatr.
