Zefir
Zefir
(1) A cotton underwear fabric made of bleached lisle yarn using a linen weave. It is used chiefly for making men’s undershirts. Zefir is characterized by narrow stripes running vertically along the warp; these stripes consist partly of thickened white threads and partly fine colored threads, alternating with each other and with the white threads.
(2) A type of pastille; spherical1 or oblong candies of a fluffier consistency than a pastille.
