Zaozernyi

a city in Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR, situated on the Barga River (Enisei basin). It is a railroad station 166 km east of Krasnoiarsk. Population, 27,000 (1970). It has a mica plant, furniture and garment factories, and a brickyard. Coal is mined nearby at the Irsha-Borodinsk pit. Zaozernyi was founded at the end of the 19th century and became a city in 1948.
