Yugoslav Radio and Television
(Jugoslovenska Radio-Televizija), an association of radio and television organizations in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Founded in 1944 and reorganized in 1952, Yugoslav Radio and Television unites all the republic and province radio and television centers, based in Belgrade, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Novi Sad, Prština, Sarajevo, Skopje, and Titograd.
Domestic radio programs are broadcast in Serbo-Croatian, Slovene, Macedonian, Italian, Turkish, and Rumanian. Foreign broadcasts are transmitted in Albanian, English, Arabic, Bulgarian, Greek, Spanish, German, Russian, and French. Television broadcasting, regular since 1958, is conducted over two channels.
