yes all women

yes all women

A phrase typically used as a hashtag accompanying women's accounts of encountering sexual misconduct and sexism and intended to show how widespread such experiences are. It was popularized in 2014 in the aftermath of the Isla Vista killings perpetrated by Elliot Rodger, whose misogynistic manifesto promoted violence against women. The hashtag emerged as a counter to #NotAllMen, which was often used in an attempt to emphasize that not all men mistreat women. Women face an omnipresent threat of harassment.
