Yarn-Dyed Patterned Fabric

Yarn-Dyed Patterned Fabric

a woven fabric with a pattern, usually in the form of stripes or checks, formed by the alternation of different colored warp yarns (lengthwise stripes) or filling yarns (crosswise stripes). The weave most often is a smooth interlacing of fibers. The pattern, unlike a stamped or printed design, is formed in the warp during picking and in the filling during beating-up. The colored threads of the warp alternate in a definite order, which is repeated throughout the width of the fabric.
