Location:All sites and the reservoir can be accessed from CO 40. The headquarters is located 2 miles west of Hayden.
Facilities:25 developed campsites and limited dispersed camping at Elkhead; 50sites at a new campground near the Colorado State Parks Headquarterssite; boat ramps; 47 picnic areas (20 at Elkhead); restrooms; multi-usetrails; group picnic area, visitor center (é), educational facility, and observation decksat Headquarters site.

Special Features:Parks protects a 172-mile stretch of the Yampa River from Stagecoach Reservoir to Dinosaur National Monument, encompassing the entire Yampa Valley. The Yampa River is recognized as one of the most biologically intact river systems remaining in the West. Park includes the river, 8 public access sites, and Elkhead Reservoir, a 600-acre manmade lake just north of the river.
