| 释义 | XScaleXScaleA line of RISC-based CPUs from Intel based on the StrongARM architecture. Derived from a settlement with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in 1998, XScale replaced Intel's i860/i960 line of RISC chips designed in the late 1980s. Because XScale runs at lower speeds than desktop CPUs (up to 624 MHz compared to 2 GHz+), they use less power in mobile devices and embedded applications. In 2006, Intel sold the XScale PXA line to Marvell Technology Group and continued to focus on its x86 line. See x86, StrongARM and ARM. |
