World Trade Union Movement
a monthly journal, the organ of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU). Founded in Paris in 1949. It is published in French, English, Spanish, Russian, German, Swedish, Finnish, Rumanian, Arabic, and Japanese.
World Trade Union Movement deals with the activity of the WFTU and of the international associations of trade unions (trade departments of the WFTU), as well as the trade union work of national trade union organizations. It publishes materials concerning the struggle for national independence in developing and colonial countries, the successes of workers and their trade union organizations in socialist countries, and the situation of workers in the capitalist world and their struggle for the fulfillment of economic, social, and political demands. The central editorial board of the journal has been located in Prague since 1956.
