wireless printing
wireless printing
Sending a print job to a printer via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Most printers have built-in Wi-Fi, while some have Bluetooth. Wi-Fi typically supports a distance 10 times greater than Bluetooth (roughly 300 vs. 30 feet).Driver-Based and Driverless
Users of laptop and desktop computers typically must identify the printer they want to use and install the associated printer driver in their machines for that printer model. Smartphones and tablets can print without installing drivers, but both the mobile device and the printer must use the same driverless system. Apple's AirPrint and Google's Cloud Print are the primary driverless examples. See printer driver, AirPrint and Google Cloud Print.
