Win8 Desktop
Win8 Desktop
The Windows 8 desktop operates the same as previous versions of Windows. However, desktop and tablet-style apps work in a mixed environment, and although each tablet-style app is a separate entity, the desktop is sometimes treated as a single entity no matter how many apps are open on it.Switching Between Desktop Apps
There are several ways to switch between apps on the desktop and between desktop and tablet-style apps (for details, see Win8 Switch apps).
