Stuart Wilde was born with a twin sister in Farnham, England, in 1946. His father was an officer in the British Navy; his mother was Sicilian and a professor of languages. His parents had met during the invasion of Sicily, in World War II.

Wilde left school and started a very successful business selling tie-dyed tee-shirts, which he discovered brought in a lot of money. In 1974, at twenty-eight, Wilde enrolled for a course in Spiritual mediumship at the College of Psychic Studies. He found that he had some mediumistic abilities and was able to contact spirits. His focus, however, turned to meditation and trance. After some years of training, Wilde said, “I developed the ability to enter into deep states of mind and not fall asleep. After five years of training, I found that I could hold concentration at the theta brain level (which is 4-6 cycles of brain rhythm per second) almost indefinitely.”

Wilde wrote a number of books including a very successful “Taos Quintet": Affirmations, The Force, Miracles, The Quickening, and The Trick To Money Is Having Some. Other books include The Sixth Sense, Silent Power, and Miracles.
