Special Features:Park is located in the valley where Daniel Boone carved out the famous Wilderness Road in 1775. By 1800, more than 300,000 settlers had traveled the road westward through Cumberland Gap into Kentucky and the Midwest. Park will eventually include a reproduction pioneer station and fort house depicting lifestyles of the late 1700s during America's westward expansion.
