Wilczek, Frank A.

Wilczek, Frank A. (Anthony)

(1951– ) physicist; born in New York City. He taught and performed research at Princeton (1974–80) before joining the University of California: Santa Barbara as an astrophysicist (1980). Using mathematical calculations, he discovered the nature of the "glue" that holds nuclear subparticles together while he was a graduate student at Princeton (1972–73). His continued research includes high energy physics, quantum field theory, and cosmological studies of matter and antimatter.
