Location:West-central Colorado. Accessible by US 70, 6, 24, 40, and 285; CO 82. Nearby cities/towns include Aspen, Dillon, Eagle, Glenwood Springs, Meeker, and Rifle.
Facilities:Resorts, 37 campgrounds, 6 picnic areas, boat ramps, trails (1,895 miles), ski areas (concession operated), scenic drives.

Special Features:Among the most heavily used national forests in the country, White River includes: Vail, the largest ski resort in the country; ten mountain peaks above 14,000 feet in elevation; Glenwood Canyon, an 18-mile stretch of the Colorado River with 1,000-foot cliffs above the river; 8 wilderness areas totaling more than 750,000 acres.
