Weston, Roy F.

(1911–2007)Founder and CEO of Weston Solutions, a large Pennsylvania-based environmental engineering firm and an early voice for sustainability. In the 1930s, Weston was a sanitary engineer, developing multidisciplinary strategies to address issues of public health and environmental reclamation. Weston and his wife Madeleen established the Roy F. Weston Center for Sustainability at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin at Madison, to define, solve, and prevent environmental problems.
