weak-strong duality weak-strong duality[¦wēk ¦strȯŋ dü′al·əd·ē] (physics) A property of some physical systems that have a dual description such that, when a coupling constant governing the strengths of interactions in the original system is large, the coupling constant in the dual description is small, so that the system can be accurately described by means of perturbation theory. |
