[′wāv‚gīd ¦bend] (electromagnetism) A section of waveguide in which the direction of the longitudinal axis is changed; anE-plane bend in a rectangular waveguide is bent along the narrow dimension, while anH-plane bend is bent along the wide dimension. Also known as waveguide elbow.
