Wasatch
Wasatch
a mountain range in the USA forming part of the Rocky Mountains. The Wasatch Mountains extend 350 km from north to south along the eastern edge of the Great Basin. They rise to a maximum elevation of 3,749 m. The mountains are composed of schists and conglomerate rocks. The western slopes, formed along a fault line, are steep, and the eastern slopes rise gradually. The mountains are dissected by several transverse valleys. The slopes are covered with pine and juniper forests.
